Devan & Tristan: A Mountainous May

Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Devan and Tristan are two of the most adventurous people you'll ever meet. Like they went to Iceland on their honeymoon. So naturally I aspire to be them. But moving onto flowers now...

Devan wanted a very green, natural feel so we focused on the texture and variety of greenery. Then added some soft pink peonies for elegance, plum roses for color, and lots of baby's breath for whimsy. And the end result was so perfect it looked like the offspring of this mountainside.

They had the most beautiful details, like the shoes she found back in high school and just knew they would be her something blue someday. Or the hand carved love stump. Or wood cake stands. Or the vintage trunk. Really just....everything.
Making ivory and baby's breath drapery for all around the yard gave everything that fresh green feel, and was oh so romantic.

Whats a wedding without baby's breath?

Also, Devan's sister runs a bakery in Washington called Frost Me Sweet and made all the cakes.
And let me tell you, they were to die for!

-----

{Bride Devan ordered 1 bridal, 4 bridesmaids, 1 boutonniere, plenty of ivy/baby's breath drapery, cake flowers, and 8 center pieces  = $2,000}

Pro Tip: Did you know that as a budget saver you can use bouquets as center pieces? Just have the ladies put them in vases and voile! A great use for the large bouquets that are beautiful but don't want be carried around all night when your getting your dance on;)
