Devan & Tristan: A Mountainous May

Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Devan and Tristan are two of the most adventurous people you'll ever meet. Like they went to Iceland on their honeymoon. So naturally I aspire to be them. But moving onto flowers now...

Devan wanted a very green, natural feel so we focused on the texture and variety of greenery. Then added some soft pink peonies for elegance, plum roses for color, and lots of baby's breath for whimsy. And the end result was so perfect it looked like the offspring of this mountainside.

They had the most beautiful details, like the shoes she found back in high school and just knew they would be her something blue someday. Or the hand carved love stump. Or wood cake stands. Or the vintage trunk. Really just....everything.
Making ivory and baby's breath drapery for all around the yard gave everything that fresh green feel, and was oh so romantic.

Whats a wedding without baby's breath?

Also, Devan's sister runs a bakery in Washington called Frost Me Sweet and made all the cakes.
And let me tell you, they were to die for!

{Bride Devan ordered 1 bridal, 4 bridesmaids, 1 boutonniere, plenty of ivy/baby's breath drapery, cake flowers, and 8 center pieces  = $2,000}

Pro Tip: Did you know that as a budget saver you can use bouquets as center pieces? Just have the ladies put them in vases and voile! A great use for the large bouquets that are beautiful but don't want be carried around all night when your getting your dance on;)

Nathan + Katrina = A Chill Spring Fling

Thursday, May 28, 2015

Katrina was the most relaxed, easy going bride I've ever worked with! She wanted bright yellow, some fun green and then let me go to work! The little button mums were the perfect pops of color in the huge fluffy hydrangeas and the soft pink roses and the mini calla lilies added just a touch of romance! This was a great way to start wedding season!

{Bride Katrina had one bridal bouquet, eight bridesmaids bouquets, and 3 boutonnieres = $800}

Jordan + Chantelle: A Spectacular Spring Wedding

I have so little to say about this wedding because I feel the photos say so much more than I could with words. So I'll just say this. Chantelle was my college roommate and really good friend. Getting to do the floral arrangements for her wedding was an honor, and I absolutely loved her style. Jordan couldn't have chosen a better bride! They married in March, and the forest background for these photos is just stunning. I loved everything about this wedding - congrats Kartchners!

{Bride Chantelle ordered 6 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 bridal, 2 corsages, and 10 boutonnieres = $1200}

Layton + Meredith: Colorful and Classy in California

Sunday, January 25, 2015

Layton and Meredith's weddings was one of my favorites! They married in Oakland and had an awesome party afterward in Santa Cruz at the beach house. It was full of dancing, great Asian fusion food, friends, and of course...flowers! She wanted bright, happy, colorful, fun but still classy - which all happen fit her personality perfectly!

Also - this chick made her wedding dress. She's my idol.
So obviously I asked her to design and make mine.
She's that cool.

{Bride Meredith ordered 5 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet, and 1 boutonniere. = $500}
